Coming Sunday June 29th, 2008

Run Through the Canyon XI was really good... BUT!
Join us for the twelfth annual "Run Through the Canyon"
and enjoy the poker run, barbeque, music, raffles and fun!

This event is open to ALL CLASSIC CARS . Sunday, June 29th is date for a great day of family fun.  The poker run will take us through the wine country of Pleasanton and Livermore .  Launch time for the first group will be at 10:30 to accommodate anyone attending church or driving from out of the area.  Registration opens at 10:00 .

We will start the Run at Kassabian Motors in Dublin with a private showing including coffee and pastries supplied by Brad Kassabian.  Historic Downtown Pleasanton will provide some shopping and browsing time along  the way and then it's on to Alden Lane Nursery, situated amongst centuries-old valley oak trees on the south side of the Livermore Valley and then to an early private opening at the Mitchell Katz Winery. We will drive through the lush vineyards on our way through the hills toward Niles Canyon and into the Niles District. From there we head toward the Bay and our final destination, Swiss Park in Newark where we have reserved the entire park for our own private catered party featuring chicken and tri tip and all the fixin's.  The park is completely enclosed with playground equipment, tables and plenty of shade under large trees. There is even on site parking for our classics.  The music will be provided by Nor-Cal and K- BAY 's own DJ, Steve Fox.

Registration charge includes: The Cruise, One Poker Run score sheet, One Raffle Ticket, BBQ Lunch for two and admission to the park.  Additional guests and family members are welcomed but there is a slight additional charge to cover the cost of their meal.  Each participant car will be given run directions and
The car finishing with the highest poker hand wins a $100 cash prize.
