Sacramento Raceway Park. This is an Official club event and all Chevelle
and El Camino lovers are welcome to attend and Cruise to the event with the

April 11,
2009 - Club
meeting and cruise to the Morgan Hill Brew Pub for lunch. This is about
a thirty minute cruise down 85 to101 south. We will take the Cochran
Rd. exit and continue towards down town Morgan Hill. The El Toro Brewing
Co. was once a Bank of America, and the old safe has been converted
into a cozy dining room. After the bank closed down, the Morgan Hill
police department used the building for the next ten years until recently.
Now its a really cool place to eat. I understand they have the best
pizza in town. There is even a game room upstairs for the kids and adult
kids. Come join us for a fun day and a cruise to down town Morgan Hill.
April 26, 200 - Pacific Cost Dream Machines car show in Half
Moon Bay - This is a first time event for the club. Members have been
asking for new car show, so here ya go. Come and support your club.
We will meet at our regular club meeting place, Sunnyvale Chevrolet
at 5:30am and leave promptly at 6:00am. Yes, I know this is early
but we need to leave at this time to beet the traffic going over 92
to Half Moon Bay. So, stop your complaining and mark your calendars.

Club meeting, Guest Speaker, Tech Session - Do you have any idea how
much your classic is worth. Has the economy effected the values of
our pride and Joy? Here is your opportunity to find out. Willie Allen
has made arrangements with Joseph Troise, a local classic car appraiser,
to attend our meeting and speak. Bring your questions and your classic's.
Joe has agreed to do a couple of appraisals in the Sunnyvale Chevrolet
parking lot for a special club price. If you are interested, contact
Michael Crusco at mikec44212@aol.com or cell 650-238-7035. ALSO, we
will be doing a tech session, replacing the dash pad in a 69 Chevelle.
ANNNND, just in case you start to get a little hungry, because we
know, all that car business will work up an appetite, lunch will be
catered, compliments of the Nor-Cal ChevelleCaminos car club. So plan
on spending the morning and afternoon with the club hang'in out, kick'en
tires and talking cars. Oh yeah, don't forget about the free lunch.

- The Apple Pie Run - or Cherry Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie, or any of
the many famous pies hand made at the Gizdich Ranch. Our journey will
start in the Almaden Valley section of San Jose. Almaden Valley was
named after the New Almaden Mines and produced Mercury that was used
to process ore during the gold rush days. We will continue our cruise
south onto country roads towards Calero Reservoir, a short stop to
check out the picturesque lake view, boats, and water skiers, then
back on the road again. Our next stop will be Uvas Dam, again just
off the slightly curvy country road lies yet another body of water.
You wont find any ski boats here just a few fishermen enjoying the
afternoon fishing and BBQ'ing. From here we will continue south onto
Watsonville Rd. then we will head West on to Hecker Pass Highway (152).
At this point we are just a few miles from our destination. We will
continue on HW 152 west to Mt. Madonna, we will make another stop
here at the top. This will definitely be a Kodak moment. From here,
on a clear day, you can see all the way to Santa Cruz. A few pictures,
back in the cars and down the hill into Watsonville and the Gizdich
Ranch. The Gizdich family has owned this 67 acre ranch since 1930,
it is a family owned business that produces 14 varieties of apples,
strawberries, raspberries, ollalieberries, blackberries, winter squash,
and fresh apple juice. The fine folks at the ranch will have reserved
parking waiting for us. Here we will enjoy the best fresh bake pies
on the planet, plus there is also a gift shop, Antique Shop, pick-your-self
area, and tours. Wow, I am almost out of breath, but I am not done
yet. As a special added treat, the club will be picking up the tab
for lunch and desert. Please, club members and immediate family only.
Mark your calendars for yet another first time event. Your club officers
and volenteers are working hard for you so please come and support
your club. We will meet in the Office Max parking lot on the corner
of Almaden and Blossom Hill at 9:30am and leave at promply at 10:00am.
The address is 1130 Blossom Hill, San Jose, Ca. 95118. Any questions
contact Michael Crusco at 650-238-7035 or E-Mail mikec44212@aol.com
